Dear Conscious Consumer,
From a young age, we are unconsciously conditioned to morph ourselves into how the mainstream collective acts, talks, looks, and dresses. Society sends us the paradoxical message to “be yourself,” while emphasizing the importance of being socially likeable.
During adolescence, when we show up as our true self, we are often misunderstood. We decide it is easier to be a chameleon of social interactions, shifting our outward appearance to match those we interact with. In the process, we lose ourselves.
Once we awaken to the truth that we will never truly feel comfortable in our own skin until we rediscover the self we lost as children, we begin the journey of untangling all the knots of conditioning society has tied around us. These intricate knots hold us back from living a life that is fully ours.
As you consciously begin to untie them, you’ll notice pieces of yourself you forgot in childhood coming back into focus. Your inner compass toward your true self will gradually strengthen. Naturally, you’ll realize there’s no other way you want to live than by showing up fully as you. The people who are meant to stay will stay, and the rest will fall away.
